The following are additional developments from fank briefing and AKP today 04 May:
At 0100 hours on 03 May VC/NVA forces attaked neak loung in two human wave assaults VC/NVA forces involved were regular troops estimated to number 2,000. Following these attacks the Cambodian troops withdrawn to the west across the river, leaving NAK Luong on the east bank effectively under VC/NVA contol and thus cutting of all points east along route one (particularly Svay Rieng) |
