Gory( Head, south-east Asia branch , foreign ministry), commend to us on 17 August that while france did not have diplomatic relations with Pol Pot, the French would probably go on accepting the seating of the Pol Pot representative in the UN for the present. France would look to the Aseans to take lead in bringing about any change and would follow their lead.
