Micieli of MFA's Asia office told us today that Italy did not have the question of derecognition of the Pol Pot regime under study at the present. Italy remained of the view that nothing should be done to make the Heng Samrin regime more respectable, especially, while Vietnamese forces were still in the hiddle of a substantial offensive in Kampuchea.
