Summary / Abstract :

Holloway,Asean regional affairs, state told us today, 18 June that United States had informed the Cambodians, the south vietnam, Filipinos and Thais that the US would not fovour a Cambodian request to SEATO for help. According to Holloway such a request would have a divisive effect within SEATO, would not lead to a fall -back on the Thanat/Rusk communique and would compromise Cambodian neutrality.
