Former Primer Kukrit Pramoj was not surprised when his Chinese hosts in Contoa broke the views at his breakfast table of the coup in in Bangkok. Not perhape were the Chinese, who did not bother to wake him at 11 pm the previous night when they first head of the military takeover. whether or not Peking had any foreknowledge of the October 20 coup, It though the development a welcome one.
