Summary / Abstract :

The national assembly on 17th June unaimously passed a motion of censure on Hou Yuon, secretary of state for the plan (See our savigram 13 and memorandum 225). He has been replaced by Mau Say. a former secretary of state the plan. On similar resolution against Khieu Samphan, Secretary of state for commerce, there were 26 abstentions and it failed to gain the necessary majority . (As a result of attacks on him atthe national congress, Khieu Samphan resigned on 1st July).
