The political front
(a) The foreign department of the C.P.S.U The department's function is to liase with nonbloc communist parties . We have no information on the extent to which it maintains these contacts, whether it issues directives or gives only advice to the foreign communist parties. In conjunction with agitprop (see Below) the foreign department co-ordination and possibly controls the direction and substance of foreign propaganda. |
