Following his claim to have visited the "Liberated Zone" of Cambodia, Sihanouk has received marked support from both Hanoi and Peking for his position as Cambodia's "Legitimate" leader. At official functions and press interviews in Hanoi, Sihanouk insisted that the different factions of the anti-government forces in Cambodia were now firmly united.
