Summary / Abstract :

We agree Hammarskjoeld's efforts would best be directed towards improving Cambodian- Vietnamese relation also and that initiative should appear to come mainly from Hammarskjoeld. While we recognise impertance of enlarging United Nations connections with Laos we are not clear what purpose would served by involving Lactians in contemplated efforts by Hammarskjoeld to improve Cambodia's relations with Thailand and Vietnam.
