You will recall that the Cambodian Ambassador left with you on 18th December , 1959 a letter stating that Cambodia would appreciate every assistance from the Australian government in making known the sound position of Cambodia in the Preah Vihear dispute. At the same time you handed to him our reply to an earlier Cambodian communication on the subject.
