UK charge told Chau on February 27 that if investigation revealed Cambodian angle to assassination attempt he felt sure Cambodian Government would wish to co-operate fully in preventing recurrence. Chau replied Vietnamese Government was doing everything possible to avoid any suggestion of Cambodian involvement which it doubted.
