On 31st March the foreign secretary issued a communique stating that the French and Vietnam delegations responsible for military negotiations had signed, on 30th March, minutes setting forth the details for the withdrawal of the French expeditionary corps and its attached service, whose withdraw had been requested by the government of Vietnam on 19th January, 1956.
