Summary / Abstract :
|
Based on rives' reports, State Department's assessment of the Cambodian Government's intention with respect to the declaration of a republic is the same as that in Phnom Penh' 163. Rives also relied upon the same section in Lon Nol's remarks as in Phnom Penh's 160 and concluded that the actual declaration of the republic was "a few months" off.
