Askew (Cambodian Affairs) told us 30th August that pre. occpation with Laos and prevented determination of United States attitude regarding the supply of jet aircraft to Cambodia the state department had decided , however to seek Australian , French and United Kingdom views, and an official approach would be forthcoming shortly.
