I spoke to Narasimhan ( Chef de cabinet to U Thant earlier this week about the proposal for a UN representative on the Cambodian-Thai border. Narasimhan said that the foreign minister of Burma had rejected the appointment of any Burmese and Thant was thinking of alternatives.
