Following miscellaneous points, taken from foreign telegram we have seen, may be of interest the touchiness that mark United Kingdom-United States relations, in so far as Laos is concerned is still in evidence judging by a restricted cable from the British Ambassador in Washington to the Foreign Office on 12 June. The British Ambassador cabled the text of a leading article on Laos in the "New York Time" of 12 June (which no doubt you will have seen or will be receiving) and commented as follows:
