I have really come to the conclusion that the Americans are not being more forthcoming for the fundamental reason that beyond the communique there is nothing to be forthcoming about. If this is indeed so I can see some point in the Americans keeping the Russian questing but so far as we are concerned I suspect it may be to conceal their own embarrassment at not having achieved more.
