This was that the Chinese had taken the recent articles by Al Jenkins, formerly of the US Liaison Office, very much amiss Chiao Kuan-Hua complained to Kissinger about them. Bust himself thought that Jenkins should have maintained a decent reticence about China at least for sometime after his retirement.
