In essentials the political scene continued to be quiet and the prospect now is that the present government will continue for a good deal longer. There was, however, a sharp political squall towards the middle of the month centring on the second deputy prime minister in charge of finance, Mr. Sok Chhong, and the chairman of the national assembly, Mr, Yem Sambaur.
