US Ambassador Bunker said on October 24 that he had spoken to Ky Twice about the holdup of the Mekong convey, and had urged that this was not the time to launch a frontal attack on Cambodia. Ky had denied knowledge of the holdup at first, and on the secord occasion he had promises to '' Look into the matter''.
