Happy Laos announcement: 10,000 SQ-KMS 150,000 people liberated. The Resistance Government of Pathet Lao yesterday (February 12) issued the following communique: The resistance government is glad to announce that Laos Peoples liberation army on January 31 launched a large scale offensive against the enemy defence line along the Namhou River in North Pathet Lao and, after fire days of fighting, put of action or routed 2,300 enemy troops, including 500 prisoners, and liberated the whole Namhou River valley.
