Summary / Abstract :
Cold War Politics divided Chinatown around the world, spitting their communities into acrimonious factions. However, this rivalry between the two Chinese claimant states did not play out in precisely the same manner in all oversea Chinese communities. This paper disensses how local dynamites governed specific experiences of the Cold War through a case study of Yokohama Chinatown in the 1950s.
