Summary / Abstract :
|
The oversea Chinese issue has long been a major theme in Sino-Philippine relation. The ethnic Chinese has occupied a predominant place in the Philippine economy since the Spanish colonial period. The retail industry was almost entirely owned and controlled by the Chinese in the mid-twentieth century.
