The population of Phnom Penh is currently 6,000. Another 140,000 or so people are waiting in camps outside Phnom Penh for permission to enter the city. The Vietnamese are registering the names, place of origin and trades of all in the camps. Families are allowed into Phnom Penh if there is a use for the bread winner's particular skills.
