In the light of recent reports about the increased Chinese arms supplies to Pakistan, the Chinese charge d' affairs was requested on 02.01.80 to convey to his government, our concern and conviction that such actions would only heighton tension in the regime while resulting in a slowing down of the process of normalisation of relations between India and Pakistan.
