On July 14 Embassy received a French language fax from the Cambodian Embassy in Beijing outlining Cambodian king Sihanouk's responses to a series of questions posed by the "BMD team". During an interview on July 14, 1997. (Note: Embassy was unable to obtain any identifying information on the BMD team informal English language translation of the interview follows:
