The confession of Mao Sokha aka Lum, assistant of Division 450, implicated Tum Yan. Yan was convinced to betray the revolution through his indoctrination. In May 1972, Tum Yan and Ing Orn captured a member of the Khmer Rouge at valley of Krala mountain to be killed. Yan conducted an activity such as burning down houses, killing liberation soldiers, and convincing people to destroy the Angkar's materials.
ចម្លើយរបស់ ម៉ៅ សុខា ហៅ លុំ ជំនួយការកងពល ៤៥០ ឆើយថាៈ ឈ្មោះទុំ យ៉ន ក្បត់បក្សតាមការអប់រំពីខ្លួន។ ខែ៥-១៩៧២ ទុំ យ៉ន និង អ៊ឹង អ៊ន ចាប់បានខ្មែរក្រហមម្នាក់ នៅច្រកភ្នំភូមិក្រឡាយកទៅសម្លាប់ចោល។ ទុំ យ៉ន បានធ្វើ សកម្មភាពដុតផ្ទះ សម្លាប់កងទ័ពរំដោះ បំផុសប្រជាជនឱ្យបំផ្លាញ សម្ភារៈអង្គការ។
