In Peking with the Recent pattern Peking's treatment of the fourth anniversary of the founding of the RG NUC in an editorial dated march 23 minimized attention to Sihanouk and emphasized the role force on the ground in Cambodia. Sihanouk spent the day with local Chinese officials in canton rather than going to Peking for the occasion and the people's daily editorial maxing the anniversary managed to mention the prince only once.
