Summary / Abstract :

For Cambodian the main events in the first half of May were president Nixon's decision to order United States forces to attack Vietnamese communist base area inside Cambodia and to provide limited military aid to the Cambodian armed forces, and the formation by Prince Sihanouk in Peking on 5 May of government, which was subsequently recognized by a number of other governments, mainly in communist countries.
