Twenty gas masks and pith helmets were abandoned in Thailand by Vietnamese -led Heng Samrin forces earlier this months, it was revealed yesterday, Ninth Army division commander Maj-Gen Sonkid Chongpayuha said the gas masks and helmets were dropped by Thia forces after crossing the border on April 03, in hot pursuit of Khmer Rouge guerrillas .
