Sihanouk and his Government are genuinely and deeply apprehensive of attempts by South Viet Nam and/or Thailand to secure area of Cambodia. He quoted the Vietnamese claim to islands, the Thai ambition to recover Battambang and both government's support of the free Khmer movement, as examples of their aggressive attitudes.
