Sihanouk's position to date has been that if the north Vietnamese government was prepared to give some guarantee or recognition of Cambodia's frontier, he would give full recognition to the north Vietnamese government, It is more likely that Sihanouk will wait to see the outcome of the war in Vietnam before he makes any moves towards giving full recognition to either North Vietnam or the front.
