Imprisonment at Trapeang Korng prison

One morning in late 1978, three commune militiamen came to arrest me at my house, in which I still live, and took me to the south. Then they detained me at the Trapeang Korng prison, because they accused me of intending to poison a village chief, named Suos (deceased). I can recall one of the militiamen named Nean (deceased).

At the time they came to arrest me, my wife, Kip, and children, Rann and Roeun, witnessed the incident. However, they did not see me, when I was being taken
away. At this time, they tied me up and took me to the Thmei pagoda. Upon arrival at the Thmei pagoda, they untied me and then one militiaman, named Din, I do not know whether he is still alive or dead, tied me up again, and sent me to Lou village, Srae Cheng commune. I was brought to the police station, which was under the supervision of Ta Rin, who now lives at the border.

Later on, Din took me to the Trapeang Korng prison. Ta Rin was the chief of the prison. When I arrived at the prison, they untied me. There were approximately three to five thousand prisoners in the prison at the time. They detained me at the prison for three months, before the Vietnamese troops arrived. Instead of torturing me, they forced me to work extremely hard every day, and gave a very small amount to eat, only two ladles of rice soup per day. People kept disappearing everyday, and I was aware of and heard gunfire to the west of detention area.
I think Ta Suos should be held accountable for what happened to me during this time. At the prison, male and female prisoners kept disappearing daily.

In 1983, following what others did, I participated in petitioning the Khmer Rouge. And this time, I feel really happy, filing the application form before the court. I want the court to prosecute the Khmer Rouge soon.
