Khim Ay, alias Vin, female, is 48 years old and her husband is Dam; in addition, they have a child. Ay lives in Sambo village, Sambo sub-district, Batheay district, Kampong Cham province. Ay៌s father was Kosal Khim, and his mother was Chim Phim. Ay has 2 siblings [1 girl + 1 boy]. When he was a child, Ay studied until grade 9 [in the old system] in Prek Ko Koy primary school. Ay dropped out of school when there was a coup in 1970. After leaving school, he helped his parents in rice field. At that time, Ay grew soybean and tobacco. When she was 17 years old, Ay was arranged to get married. Ay and her wife then got divorced when they didn៌t listen to each other because the husband wanted to live in Battambang province, but Ay didn៌t want to. It was in 1972 that Ay joined the revolution. When she first joined the revolution, Ay was a chef in Ang Long sub-district. She was then assigned to study medicines for a while, and she was sent to cure people in Prek Koy sub-district. At that time, when there were patients, there weren៌t injections, and there were only tablets. Later, Angkar took her from hospital to send to the battle in order to help carry injured people while the Khmer Rouge soldiers were fighting with Lon Nol soldiers near Prek Kdam. The chief of the division 310 was Oeun. At that time, many Khmer Rouge soldiers got injured and died. It was when the Khmer Rouge soldiers came into Phnom Penh for a week in 1975 that Ay entered into Phnom Penh and saw that the city was quiet and there were no people living in this city. While in Phnom Penh, Ay was the chief near Tuol Kork. In 1976, she was sent to Baray district in Kampong Thom province in order to farm in rice field. After farming in Kampong Thom province, Ay was sent back to Phnom Penh. She was later sent to work in Sre Am Bil in Kampot province. At that time, there were hundreds of women who evaporated salt water to obtain hundreds of tons of salt to Angkar. The chief of woman unit, Hong, was arrested, and the southwest came to control instead of her. In 1978, Ay was sent by Angkar to work in the airport in Kampong Chhnang province. While becoming a construction worker in Kampong Chhnang province, there wasn៌t enough food for her to eat. Ay ate only rice gruel, and she just lived from one day to another day; in addition, she was afraid that she could be killed because the chief of the unit was accused of being a traitor by Angkar. It was when the Vietnamese soldiers marched into Cambodia, Ay and others ran straight to Thai border. Until arriving in Pursat province, Ay had to walk across the forest and mountains, and sometimes she almost died because of starvation. However, it was luckily when the Vietnamese soldiers arrived, they arrested and sent her back to her home village. That៌s why she has still survived until these days, living as a farmer.

ឆ្នាំ១៩៧០។ ពេលឈប់រៀនមកជួយធ្វើស្រែចម្ការឪពុកម្ដាយ កាលនោះដាំសណែ្ដកសៀងនិងដាំថ្នាំជក់។ អយ អាយុ១៧ឆ្នាំ ឪពុកម្ដាយបានរៀនចំគ្រួសារឱ្យ ក្រោយមករស់នៅជាមួយគ្នាមិនចុះសម្រុងក៏លះលែង គ្នាដោយ ប្ដីចង់ទៅរស់នៅខេត្ដបាត់ដំបង តែ អយ មិនចង់ទៅ។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧២ អយ បានស្ម័គ្រចិត្ដ ចូលបដិវត្ដតែម្ដង ចូលដំបូងនៅត្រឹមសង្កាត់អន្លង់គគីរជាអ្នកដាំបាយ។ ក្រោយមកទៀត អង្គការចាត់ តាំងឱ្យទៅរៀនមុខវិជ្ជា ពេទ្យបានរយៈមួយខែ បានអង្គការបញ្ជូនឱ្យមកព្យាបាល ប្រជាជននៅក្នុងឃុំព្រែក កុយ កាលនោះបើមានប្រជាជនឈឺ គ្មានថ្នាក់ចាក់ទេ មានត្រឹមថ្នាំលេប។ ក្រោយមកទៀតអង្គការដក ចេញពីផ្នែកពេទ្យហើយបញ្ជូនទៅសមរភូមិឱ្យជួយស្នែងអ្នករបួស ពេលយោធាខែ្មរក្រហមវាយជាមួយទាហាន លន់ នល់ នៅម្ដុំព្រែក្ដាម នៅក្នុងកងពល៣១០ ប្រធានកងពលឈ្មោះ អឿន កាលនោះ មានយោធាខែ្មរក្រហមរបួសនិង ស្លាប់ច្រើន ណាស់។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៥ ពេលខែ្មរក្រហមវាយចូលភ្នំពេញ បានរយៈពេលមួយអាទិត្យបាន អយ ចូលទៅដល់ភ្នំពេញឃើញ ទីក្រុងស្ងាត់ជ្រាបគ្មានប្រជាជនរស់នៅ ទេ កាលនោះ អយ ស្នាក់នៅម្ដុំទួលគោកជាអ្នកដាំបាយឱ្យអង្គភាព។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៦ អង្គការបញ្ជូន ឱ្យទៅខេត្ដកំពង់ធំ នៅក្នុងស្រុកបារាយណ៍ ឱ្យធ្វើស្រែបានរយៈពេលតែពីរខែអង្គការបញ្ជូនមកភ្នំពេញ វិញ។ ក្រោយមកទៀត អង្គការបានបញ្ជូនឱ្យទៅធ្វើការងារ នៅស្រែអំបិល ក្នុងខេត្ដកំពត កាលនោះ មាននារីជាច្រើនរយ នាក់នាំគ្នាធ្វើស្រែអំបិលហើយផលិតអំបិលបានជាច្រើនរយ តោនជូនអង្គការ ប្រធាននារីឈ្មោះ ហុង ត្រូវអង្គការ ចាប់ខ្លួនយកទៅបាត់ពេលពួកនិរតីចូលមកគ្រប់គ្រងវិញ។ នៅឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៨ អង្គការបានបញ្ជូនមកធ្វើការនៅ ព្រលានយន្ដហោះនៅខេត្ដកំពង់ឆ្នាំង។ ពេលមកធ្វើជាកម្មករ សំណង់នៅខេត្ដកំពង់ឆ្នាំង គ្មានអាហារហូបចុកគ្រប់គ្រាន់ទេ ហូបតែបបរមិនដែលបានឆែ្អត រស់នៅមួយ ថៃ្ងៗខ្លាចតែ អង្គការយកទៅសម្លាប់ចោល ព្រោះប្រធានកងពលឈ្មោះ អឿន អង្គការចោទថាក្បត់។ នៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៩ ពេលកងទ័ពវៀតណាម ចូលមកដល់ អយ និងមនុស្សជាច្រើននាក់ទៀតបានរត់ទៅ ជាយដែនថៃ អយ រត់ទំរាំដល់ខេត្ដពោធិសាត់ ដើរកាត់ភ្នំកាត់ ពៃ្រដាច់បាយដាច់ទឹកសេ្ទីរតែស្លាប់ទៅ ហើយ តែសំណាងល្អ បានកងទ័ពវៀតណាមដេញទាន់ក៏ចាប់ឱ្យត្រឡប់មកស្រុក កំណើតវិញ ទើបមាន ជីវិតរស់មកដល់សព្វថៃ្ងនៅនេះប្រកប របរធ្វើស្រែចម្ការ។ |
