After the event of 18 March 1970, in February 1972, he was assigned by Angkar to be a soldier at Varin district. And in January 1974, he served Khmer rouge troop in regiment 418, then Angkar sent him to Chroy Neang Noun village, VA40-29, Chroy Neang Noun sub-district, Srey Snam district. In March March 1974, he asked Angkar for medical leave to cure his disease at Prasat village, VA715-062, Varin district. In May 1974, he defected to the Republic society.
ក្រោយព្រឹត្ដិការណ៍១៨ មិនា ១៩៧០ ឈ្មោះនេះបានអង្គការចាត់ តាំងឱ្យធ្វើជាយោធាស្រុកវ៉ារិន។ នៅខែ មករា ១៩៧៤បានបម្រើ កងទ័ពខ្មែរក្រហមក្នុងកងវរលេខ៤១៨ ហើយអង្គការបានចាត់ឱ្យទៅត្រៀមនៅភូមិជ្រោយនាង ងួន វេអា-៤០-២៩ សង្កាត់ ជ្រោយនាងងួន ស្រុកស្រីស្នំ។ នៅខែមិនា ១៩៧៤ សុំច្បាប់ អង្គការទៅព្យាបាលជំងឺនៅភូមិប្រាសាទ វេអា៧១៥-០៦២នៅ ខែឧសភា ១៩៧៤ ចូលរួបរួមជាមួយសង្កមសាធារណរដ្ឋវិញ។
