On October 23, 1973, there were about 200 to 250 Khmer rebels travelled by 25 boats and other group, probably 300 persons, went up to Sa-ang district office in which they travelled along Basakk river in order to dig trenches in Prek Thmei, Wat Setbo, located in Setbo sub-district, Kandal province. They assigned 200 forces, among these Khmer-rebel to go to Koh Anlong Chen in order to ambush the national arm forces which they are travelling straight ahead because currently the national force will make operation on road N. 1 in raining-season.
ថ្ងៃទី២៣ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមប្រហែល២០០ ទៅ២៥០ នាក់ ធ្វើចលនាតាមកាណូត២៥គ្រឿង និងមួយក្រុមទៀតចំនួន ៣០០នាក់ ឡើងពីសាលាស្រុកស្អាងដើរតាមបណ្ដោយទនេ្លបាសាក់ ចូលមកជីកលេណដ្ឋាននៅព្រែកថ្មី វត្ដសិត្បូ សង្កាត់សិត្បូ ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល ហើយចែកគ្នាឆ្លងទៅកោះអន្លង់ចិន២០០នាក់ ដើម្បីទប់ទល់កុំឱ្យកងទ័ព ជាតិធ្វើដំណើរទៅមុខរួច ព្រោះសព្វថ្ងៃបើកងទ័ពយើងធ្វើប្រតិបត្ដិការ បើកផ្លូវលេខ១ពេលទឹកឡើង ពិតជាមានប្រៀបលើខ្មាំង។
