កំណត់សម្គាល់សេចក្ដីសង្ខេប :
Neang Nareth was a Khmer defector. She worked as a doctor for Khmer Rouge at Thom village, Lvea Em district, Kandal province. She studied medical course at a hospital in Koh Sotin region, Kampong Cham province. In Lvea Em district, there were 500 soldiers equiped with weapons but they did not have many cannon. These soldiers were under the command of Soy who lived in Sdei village. This region consisted of 2 hospitals, located in Prek Chhmaoh village and Bat Dav village. More importantly, there was a warfare materials warehouse there. Those materials were transported from North Vietnam, near Ourang Ov market, at Depolyo U551-077 point. These materials were received in exchange with rice with North Vietnam. They wanted to attacked the national army stationed at Thmor Ko, Koh Ras, Prek Poh, Prek Pdaov and Chroy Chrey in order to clear the path to National Road N.1. Hence, they could conquer Phnom Penh. These plan was set after the meeting between Khmer Rouge leaders and North Viet Cong leaders. Nareth added: there were a few Khmer Communist here but they had large influen. They could urge village to do what they wanted. Khmer Communist soldiers were still full of spirit to fight becasue they had never gone through a serious warfare before. However, villagers could not bear the hardship of medicine and clothes shortage, dictatorship on intimacy relation, radio listening, because instead those people could drink happily, rap the female villagers. They propagandized that they would won against Republic regime. This war was to liberate Cambodians from American Imperial. Defectors claimed that they saw no American hostages nor journalist but they only saw national soldiers who were force to hold potoonous plants without knowing the real reason.
ឈ្មោះនាង ណារ៉េត ជាខ្មែរចុះចូល ដែលមានតួនាទីជាពេទ្យប្រចាំ សង្កាត់ភូមិធំ ស្រុកល្វាឯម ខេត្ដកណ្ដាល របស់ខ្មែរក្រហម។ បានរៀន សូត្រមុខវិជ្ជាពេទ្យនេះនៅក្នុងពេទ្យតំបន់កោះសូទិន ខេត្ដកំពង់ចាម។ នៅក្នុងស្រុកល្វឯមនេះមានកងទ័ពចំនួន៥០០នាក់ មានអាវុធប្រើគ្រប់ ដៃ តែពុំសូវមានកាំភ្លើងធំទេ។ កងទ័ពទាំងនេះនៅក្រោមបញ្ជាការ ឈ្មោះ សយ ដែលមានទីតាំងនៅភូមិស្ដី ហើយមានមន្ទីរពេទ្យ២កន្លែង មួយនៅភូមិព្រែកឈ្មោះ និងមួយទៀតនៅភូមិបាត់ដាវ។ ហើយ ពិសេសទៅទៀត មានកន្លែងស្ដុកគ្រឿងសម្ភារសឹកគ្រប់យ៉ាង ដែលដឹក នាំមកពីប្រទេសយួនខាងជើង ស្ថិតនៅផ្សារអូរាំង« ត្រង់ចំណុចឌឹបល់ យូអ៊ុយ៥៥១-០៣៧។ សម្ភារទាំងនេះបានមកពីការដោះដូរស្រូវ អង្ករពីវៀតណាមខាងជើង។ ពួកវាមានគោលបំណងប្រុងវាយទីតាំង របស់កងទ័ពជាតិដែលតាំងនៅថ្មគ, កោះរះ, ព្រែកពោធិ៍, ព្រែកផ្ដៅ និងជ្រោយជ្រៃ ដើម្បីបើកផ្លូវឆ្លងមកកាន់ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ១វាយយកក្រុង ភ្នំពេញ។ គម្រោងការនេះធ្វើឡើងក្រោយពេលប្រជុំរវាងមេខ្មែរក្រហម និងមេយួនយៀកកុងខាងជើង។ ណារ៉េត បញ្ជាក់ទៀតថាៈ នៅក្នុង ស្រុកនេះមានខ្មែរកុម្មុយនិស្ដតិចតួចទេ តែមានឥទ្ធិពលលើអ្នកស្រុក ខ្លាំងណាស់ ពួកវាអាចបង្គាប់អ្នកស្រុកធ្វើអ្វីបានតាមចិត្ដ។ យុទ្ធជនខ្មែរ កុម្មុយនិស្ដនៅមានស្មារតីប្រយុទ្ឋ ព្រោះពួកគេមិនធ្លាប់បានប្រយុទ្ធ ជោគជាំនៅឡើយ។ ក៍ប៉ុន្ដែពួកគេពុំសប្បាយចិត្ដចំពោះការលំបាក វេទនាដូចជាៈ មានការខ្វះខាតថ្នាំសង្កូវ សម្លៀកបំពាក់ ការប្រើអំណាច ផ្ដាច់ការ មិនឱ្យមានទំនាក់ទំនងសេ្នហា ស្ដាប់វិទ្យុ តែពួកវាវិញស៊ីផឹក សប្បាយតាមចិត្ដ ព្រមទាំងចាប់បង្ខំកូនក្រមុំអ្នកស្រុកតាមអំពើចិត្ដ។ ពួកវាបានឃោសនាថា ពួកវានឹងទទួលជ័យជម្នះលើរបបសាធារណរដ្ឋ ការធ្វើសង្គ្រាមនេះគឺដើម្បីរំដោះប្រជាជន ប្រទេសជាតិពីចក្រពត្ដិ អាមេរិក។ ជនចុះចូលនេះបានផ្ដល់ព័ត៌មានថា ពុំដែលឃើញឈ្លើយ សឹកអាមេរិក ឬអ្នកសាព័ត៌មានទេ គឺឃើញតែកងទ័ពជាតិដែលពួកវាបាន យកទៅកាន់ស្នាយពល់ តែពុំដឹងយកទៅធ្វើអ្វី។
