Yin Yat who was a combatant in squad 1, platoon 2, company 44, region 203. He defected on January 5, 1975 at Baray to battalion 509 of national army sub-military operation in Prey veng province. The regiment 120 was located in the South of Mebon village and had 900 soldiers, equipped with various weapons. It was not so effective on fighting because it faced a lot of difficulties; such as, lack of food and medicine, especially malaria. They propagandised among the people and soldiers that in the future they will change Cambodia into communist country, and all people will live as worker and farmer class. The soldiers and the people were not thrilled with enemies because they lived difficultly without freedom, especially they loathed having meals and doing work together.
ឈ្មោះ យី យាត បានចុះចូលនៅថ្ងៃ៥ មករា ១៩៧៥នៅបារាយណ៍ ជាមួយកងទ័ពរដ្ឋាភិបាលនៃកងវរសេនាតូច ៥០៩ ផ្នែកសឹករងព្រៃវែង។ ជននេះជាយុទ្ធជននៅក្រុមទី១ អនុសេនាតូច ២ អនុសេនាធំ ៤៤ កងវរសេនាធំ ១២០ ប្រចាំតំបន់ ២០ ភូមិភាគ ២០៣។ កងវរសេនា ធំ១២០ មានទីតាំងនៅខាងត្បួងភូមិមេបុណ្យដែលមានកម្លាំងចំនួន ៩០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ធុន។ កងនេះពុំសូមមានប្រសិទ្ធភាព ក្នុងការប្រយុទ្ធទេព្រោះត្រូវជួបប្រទះនិងការលំបាកយ៉ាងខ្លាំងដូចជា ខ្វះស្បៀងអាហារ ថ្នាំពេទ្យហើយជាពិសេសគឺជួបប្រទះនិងជម្ងឺគ្រុនចាញ់។ ពួកវាបានផ្សព្វផ្សាយដល់ប្រជាជននិងយុទ្ធជនថាៈ នៅថ្ងៃអនាគតពួកវានឹង ធ្វើឱ្យស្រុកខ្មែរក្លាយជាស្រុកដែលមានរបបកុម្មុយនិស្ដ ហើយប្រជាជន ទាំងអស់គ្នានឹងរស់នៅក្នុងវណ្ណៈកម្មករនិងកសិករ។ ចំពោះទឹកចិត្ដយុទ្ធជន និងប្រជាជនទាំងអស់ពុំសូវសប្បាយចិត្ដជាមួយពួកវាទេ ពីព្រោះពួកគាត់ ត្រូវរស់នៅក្នុងជីវភាពមួយយ៉ាងតានតឹងបំផុត គ្មានសិទ្ធិសេរីភាពគ្រប់បែប យ៉ាង។ ហើយជាពិសេសទៅទៀតគឺស្អប់បំផុតការហូបរួម និងធ្វើរួម។
