In 1969, Uk Phan left the monkhood and worked on the farm with his family. He served Viet Cong movement in 1974 as a gang chief in battalion 133, region 15. On 20 May 1974, he fled from them and surrendered to military authority in Chambakk Meas. Because of oppression, mistreating, ban Buddhism and non tolerance on each other resulted in his defection .
ឆ្នាំ១៩៦៩ ឈ្មោះ អ៊ុក ផន ចាកសិក្ខាបទមកប្រកបរបរកសិកម្មជា មួយគ្រួសារ។ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ ចូលបម្រើចលនាវៀតកុងក្នុង កវរសេនាតូច១៣៣ តំបន់១៥ មានមុខងារជាមេក្រុមនៅថ្ងៃទី២០ ខែ៥ ១៩៧៤ បានរត់គេចចេញកណ្ដាប់ដៃខ្មាំង ហើយចូលមក បង្ហាញខ្លួននៅអាជ្ញាធរយោធា នៅចំបក់មាស។ មូលហេតុដែលឈ្មោះ នេះបង្ហាញខ្លួន ដោយពុំអាចទ្រាំបាននូវការជិះជាន់ធ្វើបាបគ្រប់បែប យ៉ាង និងគ្មានអធ្យាស្រ័យដល់ខ្លួនគ្នាឯង ហើយបិទព្រះពុទ្ធសាសនា។
