Lang Lim, male, aged 58, lives in Koh Ta Phem village, Trapeang Preah sub-district, Prey Chhor district, Kampong Cham province. Kim has a wife named Daeng Yiem who is 53 years old, and he has 2 children. When he was a child, Lim studied until grade 10 [in the old system] at Wat Kou School. Because of loving the knowledge so much, Lim decided to become a monk in Mien pagoda in order to continue his study. After becoming the monk for two years, Lim left the monkhood. It was before three years of the coup that Lim left the monkhood and came to help his parents in rice field. It was in 1969 that his parents had Lim married. After getting married for three years, Lim joined the revolution as a liberation soldier, and he volunteered to stay in Tonles with men in the village that there were Ta Ry and Ta Aon [Ta = Grandfather]. It was in 1974 that Lim was assigned to fight in Kampong Cham for 7-8 days until destroying the front line; in addition, he continued fighting in Prek Kdam. The chief of the division was Ren. When Lim and other KR soldiers were in Prek Kdam for a half of a month, Phnom Penh was liberated. Lim eye witnessed actions that Khmer Rouge evacuated people out of Phnom Penh so that it៌s easy for them to work. The way that Khmer Rouge swept Lon Nol soldiers up was walking to remove or check every house in the city. Whenever encountering Lon Nol soldiers, Khmer Rouge soldiers captured, beat and dropped them into the river. The reason why Lim knew about this was that he also went with other KR soldiers when they captured and killed Lon Nol soldiers, beating and dropping into river. After sweeping up the city, Lim and other KR soldiers moved to Tuol Sang Ke, and Lim worked in economic sector. It was in 1977 that Lim was assigned to Kampong Chhnang province because the Eastern KR cadres turned traitors. When arriving in Kampong Chhnang Airport, Lim was assigned to clear grass. After clearing grass about 10 days, the chief of the division Yan pitied Lim and moved him to build Chinese៌ houses. While building the houses, Lim worked with Chinese people like polishing and drilling wood. And, the Chinese only told and showed Lim the way how to do it. They spoke Chinese, but there was an interpreter. It was until the Vietnamese marched into Cambodia that Lim together with his family returned to his home village, living until these days.
ឡាង លីម ភេទប្រុស អាយុ៥៨ឆ្នាំ រស់នៅភូមិកោះតាភេម ឃុំត្រពាំងព្រះ ស្រុកពៃ្រឈរ ខេត្ដកំពង់ចាម។ លីម មានគ្រួសារ ឈ្មោះ ដើង យាម អាយុ៥៣ឆ្នាំ និងមានកូន២នាក់។ កាលពី តូចលីមរៀននៅវត្ដគូរបានថ្នាក់ទី១០ឪចាស់ឱ ដោយស្រឡាញ់ ចំណេះពេក លីមក៏បួសដើម្បីបានរៀន គឺបួសនៅវត្ដមៀន បាន ២វស្សាក៏សឹកគឺមុនរដ្ឋប្រហារ៣ឆ្នាំ។ បន្ទាប់ពីសឹក លីម មកជួយ ធ្វើស្រែចំការឪពុកម្ដាយ ហើយម្ដាយឪពុកក៏រកគ្រួសារឱ្យលីមនៅ ឆ្នាំ១៩៦៩។ ក្រោយពី រៀបការបាន៣ឆ្នាំ លីមក៏ចូលធ្វើជាកងទ័ព រំដោះដោយស្ម័គ្រចិត្ដនៅទនេ្លស ជាមួយប្រុសៗក្នុងភូមិមាន តារី និងតាអន។ វ៉ៃនៅកំពង់ចាមនៅឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ រយៈពេល៧៨ថៃ្ង ដាច់ខ្សែត្រៀមទើបមកវ៉ៃនៅ ព្រែកក្ដាមឈ្មោះ រ៉េន ជាប្រធានកង វរៈ នៅពេលដែលកងរបស់លីម នៅព្រែកក្ដាមបានកន្លះខែក៏ដាច់ ភ្នំពេញ។ លីម ឃើញសកម្មភាពដែលកងទ័ពខែ្មរក្រហមជម្លៀស ប្រជាជនចេញឱ្យអស់ពីទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ ទើបស្រួលធ្វើការ។ ការបោសសំអាតទាហានលន់ នល់ គឺដើររើគ្រប់ផ្ទះនៅក្នុងទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ ពេល ដែលជួបនឹងទាហានដែលលាក់គឺចាប់បានយកទៅវ៉ៃទម្លាក់ ចូលក្នុងទនេ្ល ការដែលលីម ដឹងថាចាប់ទាហាន បានវ៉ៃទម្លាក់ទឹកទនេ្ល ព្រោះលីមទៅជាមួយគេដែរ។ ក្រោយពីបោសសំអាតក្នុងទីក្រុង ភ្នំពេញហើយ កងទ័ពរបស់ លីម ផ្លាស់ទីតាំងទៅនៅទួលសង្កែ ហើយលីម កាន់ខាងសេដ្ឋកិច្ច។ ដល់ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៧ លីម គេឱ្យទៅ កំពង់ឆ្នាំងព្រោះខាងបូព៌ាក្បត់។ ពេលទៅដល់ព្រលានយន្ដហោះ កំពង់ឆ្នាំង លីម គេឱ្យជំរះសេ្មៅបានប្រហែល១០ថៃ្ង មេកងធំ ឈ្មោះ យ៉ាន អាណិតលីម បានផ្លាស់លីមឱ្យទៅធ្វើជាជាង ធ្វើផ្ទះឱ្យចិននៅ។ បន្ទាប់ពីធ្វើផ្ទះហើយ គឺធ្វើជាមួយចិនដូចជាឈូស ឈើ ខួង ហើយចិនជាអ្នកឈរបង្ហាញយើងជាអ្នកធ្វើ ចិននិយាយ ភាសាចិនតែមានអ្នកបកប្រែ។ ដល់ពេលដែល វៀតណាមចូលមក លីមនិងគ្រួសារក៏ត្រឡប់មករស់នៅស្រុកកំណើតវិញរហូតដល់សព្វថៃ្ង។
