On October 9, 1973, about 1500 Viet Cong and Khmer rebel armed forces transported all kind of ammunitions by 3 GMC trucks from Banteay Khmer village in Cheung Ros sub-district of Peang Lvea district, then stayed in Tmat Porng pagoda in the same district of Kirirom in an attempt to cut off national road No. 4 around Thnal Tor Teng.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី០៩ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ យួនយៀកកុង និងខ្មែរឧទ្ទាម មានចំនួនប្រហែល១៥០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ បានដឹក គ្រាប់រំសេវគ្រប់ធុនក្នុងរថយន្ដហេ្សអ៊ឹមសេចំនួន០៣គ្រឿងចេញពីភូមិបន្ទាយខ្មែរ ក្នុងសង្កាត់ជើងរស់ ស្រុកពាំងល្វា ហើយចូលមកស្នាក់នៅ វត្ដភ្នំត្មាតពង សង្កាត់ពាំងល្វា ស្រុកពាំងល្វា ខេត្ដគីរីរម្យ។ គោល បំណងរបស់វា គឺប្រុងផ្ដាច់ផ្លូវជាតិលេខ៤ ត្រង់ម្ដុំថ្នល់ទទឹង។
