On October 15, 1973, about 700 armed Khmer Rebels came to stay in Prey Barei and Chy mountain. Their military operating head quarter was positioned in Trapaing Ang village in Samrong sub-district, Angsnaul district (O Dong Mean Chey). These enemies had purpose to fight the national force positioned in Bek Chan and Toul Lieb.
ថ្ងៃទី១៥ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមចំនួនប្រហែលជា៧០០នាក់ ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ដៃ បានមករាយគ្នានៅក្នុងភូមិព្រៃបារី និងភ្នំនី ពិសេសខ្មាំងបានតាំងទីបញ្ជាការប្រតិបត្ដិការសឹកនៅភូមិត្រពាំងអណ្ដូង ក្នុងសង្កាត់សំរោងលើ ស្រុកអង្គស្នួល «ឧដុង្គមានជ័យ»។ ខ្មាំងខាងលើនេះមានគោលបំណងប្រុងវាយប្រហារ ទីតាំងការពារជាតិយើងនៅបែកចាន និងទួលលៀប។
