Norng Dim was captured on November 09, 1974 during the fighting at Tapov village, VU792-137. This person was a soldier in platoon 2, company 1, battalion 726, zone 304. In the battalion 726, there were 250 soldiers equipped with all types of weapons, was located in Sambo village, under commander Phoe. All forces in this unit had to learn military-strategy and spiritual-indoctrination communist. Khmer communist taught young men, women, and children to feel revolutionary wrath and hurt to enemy, specially republic regime. In that time they indoctrinated Khmer Rouge ideology to them.
នង ឌឹម ត្រូវបានចាប់ខ្លួនក្នុងពេលប្រយុទ្ធនៅថ្ងៃ៩ វិច្ឆិកា ១៩៧៤ ត្រង់ភូមិតាពៅ វីយូ៧៩២-១៣៧។ ជននេះមានឋានៈ ជាយុទ្ធជន ក្នុងកងអនុសេនាតូច ២ អនុសេនាធំ ១ វរសេនាតូច ៧២៦ ប្រចាំ ភូមិភាគ ៣០៤។ ក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូច ៧២៦ មានកងទ័ពចំនួន ២៥០នាក់ប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធគ្រប់ធុន ហើយមានទីតាំងនៅក្នុងភូមិ សំបូរ ក្រោមបញ្ជាការឈ្មោះផើ។ កងទ័ពនៅ នៅក្នុងកងនេះសុទ្ធ តែធ្លាប់បានរៀនក្បួនយោធានិងការ បំពាក់បំប៉ន ស្មារតីកុម្មុយនិស្ដ ទាំងអស់គ្នា។ ពួកវាបានបង្រៀនឱ្យយុវជន យុវនារី កុមារចង កំហឹងនិងមានការឈឺចាប់ចំពោះសត្រូវជាពិសេស«សាធារណរដ្ឋ» ហើយក្នុងពេលនោះឆ្លៀតបំពាក់នូវមនោគមន៍វិជ្ជាក្រហម។
