A source said on July 24, 1973, about 150 Khmer rebels moved from Russey village, Chheu Teal district to deploy from Chompous Ka-Ek village in Prek Thmei sub-district to Ang Kanh village in Prek Eng sub-district, Kean Svay district. The above enemies attempted to attack our defensive position and Kbal Tnol bridge soon. Also, about 40 to 50 of the enemies were sent to hide themselves in a bush behind Prek Pra village in Chba Ampeou sub-district Kean Svay district.
ប្រភពផ្ដល់ថាកាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៤ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ខ្មែរឧទ្ទាមប្រមាណ ១៥០នាក់ បានចេញពីភូមិឫស្សី ក្នុងស្រុកឈើទាល មករាយគ្នាជា ក្រុមតូចៗចាប់ពីភូមិចំពុះក្អែកក្នុងសង្កាត់ព្រែកថ្មី រហូតដល់ភូមិរបស់ អង្កាញ់ក្នុងសង្កាត់ព្រែកឯង ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ។ កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៤ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ខ្មាំងខាងលើបានចាត់គ្នាពី៤០ ទៅ៥០នាក់ អោយទៅបង្កប់ខ្លួននៅក្នុងព្រៃខាងក្រោយភូមិព្រែកប្រា ក្នុងសង្កាត់ ច្បារអំពៅ ស្រុកកៀនស្វាយ។ ពួកខ្មាំងទាំងនេះមានបំណងវាយប្រហារ ទីតាំងការពារយើងនៅច្បារអំពៅ និងស្ពានក្បាល់ថ្នល់ នៅពេលខាងមុខ។
