On July 16, 1973, at 18h, about 400 North Viet Cong soldiers in battalion 32, under the command of Ti Chroeung, moved from Angkor passing Kampong Kleang sub-district in Chi Kreng district, towards Roniet village in Bakan district, Pursat province. It was known that Ngy, alias Tri, Vietnamese, gave a farewell party to the above mentioned Viet Cong, who would go back to their homeland.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៦ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ម៉ោង១៨ល្ងាច យៀកកុងខាង ជើងប្រហែល៤០០នាក់ ក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូចលេខ៣២ ក្រោមបញ្ជាការ ឈ្មោះ ទី ជ្រឿង បានចេញពីអង្គរដោយឆ្លងកាត់តាមសង្កាត់កំពង់ឃ្លាំងស្រុកជីក្រែង ខេត្ដសៀមរាប រួចសំដៅទៅភូមិរនាតស្រុកបាកាន ខេត្ដ ពោធិ៍សាត់។ ប្រភពផ្ដល់ថាឈ្មោះ ងី ហៅ ទ្រី ជាតិយួនកើតនៅស្រុកបាកានបានរៀបចំជប់លៀងអោយយៀកកុងខាងលើ ដើម្បីលាគ្នាទៅ ស្រុកទេសវិញ។
