Sau Choeun served Khmer communist movement as a combatant in Sraong village, Pursat province.
On December 12, 1973, he defected to our society in military authority in company 2, battalion 437, at VV:630-965 in Khnar village, Pursat war sub-region. សូ ជឿន បានបម្រើចលនាខ្មែរកុម្មុយនីស្ដក្នុងឋានៈជាយុទ្ធជននៅអង្គ ភាពឃុំស្រោង, ខេត្ដពោធិ៍សាត់។ នៅថ្ងៃទី១២ ខែធ្នូ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ ជននេះបានចូលរួបរួមក្នុងសង្គមជាតិវិញ ជាមួយកងទ័ពជាតិយើងក្នុង កងអនុសេនាធំទី២, កងវរៈសេនាតូច៤៣៧ ត្រង់ចំនុចវ៉េវ៉េៈ ៦៣០-៩៦៥ ក្នុងភូមិខ្នារ, តំបន់សឹករងពោធិសាត់។
