Pech Chet, aka Pech Savann, served Khmer communist movement, in 1974, as a combatant in group 3, battalion 2, which was a heavy artillery unit in Prasotr district, Svay Rieng province. He defected to national military authority in battalion 175, brigate 4, which located at WT: 945-277 in the war sub-region of Svay Rieng. He also brought along one AK-47 gun.
ពេជ ជេត ហៅ ពេជ សាវ៉ាន់ បានចូលបម្រើចលនាខ្មែរកុម្មុយនីស្ដនៅថ្ងៃទី០៩ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ ដោយមានមុខងារជាយុទ្ធជនក្នុងក្រុម ទី៣, កងអនុសេនាតូចលេខ២, អង្គភាពកាំភើ្លងធំប្រចាំស្រុកប្រសូត្រ ខេត្ដស្វាយរៀង។ ជននេះបានចូលរួបរួមក្នុងសង្គមជាតិវិញ ជាមួយ អាជ្ញាធរជាតិក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូច១៧៥, កងពលតូចទី៤ត្រង់ដុបឡាវ៉េតេៈ ៩៤៥-២៧៧ ក្នុងតំបន់សឹករងស្វាយរៀង ដោយជាប់មក ជាមួយនូវអាវុធអាកា-៤៧មួយដើម មកជាមួយផង។
