Uk Sauphat served Khmer liberation movement as a cultural member in Proleng Meas village, Samrong sub-district, Prey Veng district, Prey Veng province. On April 24, 1974, he defected to national military in battalion 10 in Prek Kandieng village, Prek Kandieng sub-district, Peam Ro district, Prey Veng province.
អ៊ុក សូផាត បានបម្រើក្នុងចលនាខ្មែររំដោះក្នុងឋានៈជាសមាជិកវប្បធម៌ភូមិប្រលឹងមាស, សង្កាត់សំរោង, ស្រុកព្រៃវែង ខេត្ដព្រៃវែង។ នៅថ្ងៃទី២៩ ខែមេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៤ ជននេះបានចូលរួបរួមក្នុងសង្គម ជាតិវិញ ជាមួយកងទ័ពជាតិយើងក្នុងកងវរសេនាតូច១០នៅក្នុង ភូមិព្រៃកណ្ដៀង, សង្កាត់ព្រៃកណ្ដៀង, ស្រុកពាមរ៍, ខេត្ដព្រៃវែង។
