The Regent 044 reported in February 12, 1972, that at 22:00 to 23:00 the North Yuon Viet Congs, about 65, dressed in back, equipped with weapons had departed from Prek Russei village at VT 858-947. They were about to cross Tonle Sap to sangkat Chrey Las. The source contined that the enemies launched 8 boats across river at VT 835-945. When they rich the middle of the river the National Marine Corps Selled at those boats which caused one baot plunged into water and rest widrew back to Prek Russei. Until Febuary 15, 1972, The National Army stoodby at Prek Kruos bridge took a corps which was ploating. They found a Chines PA with it cover as well as some important document.
ភ្នាក់ងារ០៤៤ បានរាយការណ៍មកថា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី១២ ខែកុម្ភះ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧២ វេលាម៉ោង២២ៈ០០ ទៅ ២៣ៈ០០ មានយៀកកុង ខាងជើងប្រហែល៦៥នាក់ ស្លៀកពាក់ខ្មៅប្រដាប់ដោយអាវុធ បាន ចេញពីភូមិព្រែកឬស្សី ្រតង់វ៉េតេ ៨៥៨-៩៤៧ បម្រុងឆ្លងកាត់ តាមទនេ្លសាបទៅសង្កាត់ជ្រៃលាស់។ ប្រភពបានបន្ថែមថា ខ្មាំងបាន ចុះទូកទាំងអស់៨គ្រឿងជិះឆ្លង កាត់ទនេ្លចំណុចវ៉េតេ ៨៣៥-៩៤៥ លុះមកដល់កណ្ដាលទនេ្លក៏មាន កងម៉ារីនជាតិបានបាញ់កាំភ្លើងផ្លោង សំដៅទៅទូករបស់ខ្មាំង ហើយបណ្ដាលឱ្យទូកត្រូវលិចមួយគ្រឿង ហើយពួកដែលនៅសល់ត្រូវដកថយនៅព្រែកឬស្សីវិញ។ រហូតមកដល់ថ្ងៃទី១៥ ខែកុម្ភះ ឆ្នាំ១៩៧២ កងទ័ពជាតិប្រចាំនៅ ស្ពានព្រែកគ្រួស បានរើសបានសពមួយអណ្ដែតទឹក ហើយនៅលើ សាកសពគេឃើញមានអាវុធប៉េអាចិន និងស្រោមមួយ ព្រមទាំងឯកសារសំខាន់ៗ។
