Sang Sam An alias Sang Dara, defected on April 3, 1973, to the Military Authorithy in Prey Moul village, Rolea Phieat district, Kampong Chhnang province, brought along one M-16 gun. He confessed that he was the commander of Battalion 117, in which there was a number of guns such as Model 300 machine gun, One RB-machine gun, One B-40, Two M-79, Four AK, Eight Ck, Three M-16.
កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៣ ខែមេសា ឆ្នាំ១៩៧៣ មានជនចុះចូលម្នាក់ឈ្មោះ សាំង សំអាន ហៅ សាំង ដារា បានភ្ញាក់រព្ញកមកសុំចុះចូលជាមួយផ្នែក សឹករងកំពង់ឆ្នាំង ក្នុងភូមិព្រៃមូល ស្រុករលាប្អៀរ ខេត្ដកំពង់ឆ្នាំង ដោយនាំយកមកនូវជាមួយអាវុធអ៊ឹម១៦ មកជាមួយផង។ ប្រភពបាន សារភាពថា ខ្លួនជាមេបញ្ជាការកងអនុសេនាតូចលេខ១១៧ អាវុធ ដែលមានប្រើក្នុងកងអនុសេនាតូច១១៧ មានកាំភ្លើងយន្ដគំរូ៣០០ចំនួន១ដើម កាំភ្លើងយន្ដអ៊ែប៉េដេ១ដើម បេ៤០មួយដើម បេ៤១ មួយដើម អ៊ឹម៧៩ពីរដើម អាកា៤ដើម សេកា៨ដើម និងអ៊ឹម១៦ ចំនួន៣ ដើម។
